A quick moving disturbance brought accumulating snow to much of northwest and west central South Dakota during the late night and morning hours. The more significant snow developed from the northern Black Hills area to the west central South Dakota plains, where 3 to 5 inches generally fell, with the highest amounts in locally heavier bands from northeast Pennington and southeast Meade counties to Haakon County.
