Event narrative
A winter weather event produced 3 to 5 inches of snow across Union County from the evening of February 16 into the morning hours of February 17, 2024. As a result, a tractor-trailer slid off of I-80 eastbound and into the median between Mile Run Road and US-15 in White Deer Township. One eastbound lane remained open during the clean-up, which lasted nearly 3 hours. No injuries were reported.

Low pressure tracked from the Tennessee Valley eastward across southern Virginia and off the Delmarva Coast, producing a swath of snow across central Pennsylvania from the evening of February 16 into the morning of February 17, 2024. A narrow swath of 6 to 10 inches of snow fell from the Laurel Highlands east-northeastward to the Lehigh Valley, with lesser amounts to the north and south of this heavier swath.
