A fast moving storm system dropped out of the northwest and moved across northeast Colorado. The storm system brought period of light to moderate snowfall to the region along with areas of freezing drizzle which impacted foothills and urban corridor in the late afternoon and evening period. The storm system dropped a quick 2 to 5.5 inches of snowfall across the area. The highest amounts occurred around Boulder. Areas of freezing drizzle ahead of the system produced black ice which resulted in several accidents along Interstate 76 in southeast Weld and Morgan counties as well areas east and south of Denver.
