A Facebook user posted a photo of a hail stone laying next to a ruler. The stone's long edge measured 1 inch.
Wider weather episode
Scattered multicellular convection was expected ahead of a cold front on the night of February 10th. Late in the evening, disorganized cells developed into a loosely organized line of storms that briefly produced severe hail just after crossing the Mississippi River into Randolph County.
