Skies cleared out behind the frontal boundary which slowly moved through the area between the afternoon of February 20 and the morning of February 21. With low levels remaining moist from recent rainfall and clearing skies and light winds prevailing, some areas of dense fog formed in the San Joaquin Valley and in the Indian Wells Valley toward daybreak causing travel impacts on several highways. The fog mixed out by 900 am.
