Onshore winds were sustained at 30 to 40 mph...with gusts generally 65 to 80 mph through the afternoon into the evening of the 18th. However...a gust to 93 mph was measured at Trescott. An 81 mph gust was reported at Eastport. The winds piled water along the shoreline and generated large crashing waves. The winds...large crashing waves and coastal flooding combined to damage a commercial pier at Eastport.
