Tw reports of criteria snow were received. The first report, from Maverick Ski area, reported 9 inches new snow. The second report was from the Slagamelt Snotel, which estimated 10 inches new snow.

Wider weather episode

A compact H500 upper low opened into a wave as it moved from the Pac NW toward the Northern Rockies. Although weakening, this system still resulted in impressive lift through the DGZ, resulting in heavy snow across portions of the region.
