ODOT station at Cabbage Hill reported a max wind gust of 78 mph.

On Dec 27th, the eastern Blue Mountains found itself under a strong pressure gradient owing to strong high pressure situated over the Intermountain West and a closed offshore low centered just west of the Oregon/Washington coast. This intense pressure gradient led to strong winds late on the 26th overnight into the 27th.
