Event narrative

A waterspout was observed via the WFO Key West rooftop camera approximately 16 miles south southeast of Boca Chica Key. The condensation funnel cloud extended about one-third the way down from cloud base, and no spray ring was observed.

Wider weather episode

A weak cold front drifted southward over the Florida Keys. A couple waterspouts were observed in association with convective rain showers developing ahead of the front.
