Snow Squall. The Burlington ASOS reported 0.25 to 0.5 mile visibility in heavy snow and gusts up to 37 mph during this period. There was also an additional report from the public of snow squall conditions at 3:50 PM.

Wider weather episode

In the mid-day of the 11th, north-northeast to south-southwest oriented bands of heavy snow formed over Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas. These bands moved to the north-northeast and greatly reduced visibility, down to 0.25 mile at times.
