Severe drought conditions from January 2024 improved to moderate drought in February.

Beneficial moisture across Middle Tennessee continued to lead to significant drought improvement in February 2024. By the end of February, only about 10 percent of the area was in severe drought which was an improvement from the 34 percent in January. By the end of February, Nashville's official climate site had measured 9.21 inches of rain so far this year which is above normal for the end of February.
