Thunderstorm winds blew down at least two trees near the intersection of Terrell Road and Staunton Hill Road.

An upper level trough moved from the Central United States into the eastern United States through January 9, which led to rapid surface cyclogenesis that resulted in a deep surface low with a trailing cold front. This strong storm system brought damaging winds gusts as well as widespread heavy rain.
