Four inches of snow fell at Rodemer, with 2.5 inches at Hazelton. Freezing rain also resulted in a tenth of an inch of ice accretion near Albright, with a trace of icing at Hazelton.

A shortwave trough advanced across the Upper Ohio Valley on January 6th, as a surface low tracked across the Appalachians to the Mid-Atlantic region. Snow overspread the region during the morning and continued into the early evening hours, with higher totals noted in the enhanced terrain. A quarter-inch icing event was also noted in Tucker County.
