In the wake of a strong cold front, northwest winds pushing moist air up the western slopes of the Appalachians resulted in snow shower development from late morning on the 28th through the early morning of the 29th. Accumulations were primarily confined to elevations above 3500 feet, where general amounts of 1-4 were reported. Most valley locations saw little more than a dusting.
