Event narrative

Around 0.25 inches of ice accretion was estimated. Icy roads were reported, with numerous downed tree limbs and trees in northern Douglas County. This included the communities of Curtain, Drain, Scottsburg, Yoncalla, and Elkton. Roads affected included Interstate 5 near the Lane County border and Highway 38.

A front was nearly stationary over northern Douglas County with warmer air from a Pacific system overriding an existing arctic-influenced air mass.
