National gridded snowfall analysis indicated amounts of 1 to 8 inches at elevations above 4500 feet. Also, the North Weed wind sensor reported high winds on 1/13 from 1320 to 1540 PST with a peak of 40 mph with gusts to 62 mph. Precipitation amounts of 0.93 to 2.25 inches were measured.

Wider weather episode

A front was nearly stationary over southern Oregon, providing a long-lived snowfall of mainly light to moderate intensity at elevations above 4500 feet in northern California. The heaviest snow occurred during the last 24 hours as a new area of low pressure enhanced the strength of the front.
