The wider storm
Upslope snow showers and squalls on the backside of an upper-level system produced snow accumulations of 2 to 8 inches. Winds gusted to 40-55 mph resulting in considerable blowing and drifting of snow. This reduced visibilities below one quarter of a mile at times.
