Snow squall.

Wider weather episode

An intense line of snow pushed across a portion of Central Iowa on the evening of January 10th. Near whiteout to whiteout conditions resulting from quick-hitting snow occurred over the area. The snow squall entered the western Des Moines metro counties after 7:30pm and pushed out of the area after 9pm.
