Large grand fir knocked over on Harbor Island. Time estimated by wind observations at KCOE. Sustained winds over 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph were observed from 2PM to 7PM. Utility company reported 750 customers without power.

The wider storm

A slow moving Low passed through the Pacific Northwest over January 6 through 10. It brought several rounds of locally heavy snow and gusty winds. Through the period, locations in the North Idaho Panhandle saw snow amounts of 1 to 2 feet. The Lower Idaho Panhandle had amounts of 4 to 10 inches. Wind gusts ranged from 40 to low 50 mph.
