A CoCoRAHs observer reported 2.5 inches of snow in Longton. This was the average snowfall across the county.

Wider weather episode

Winter weather overspread the region and produced hazardous driving conditions across the region. There were numerous accidents, indirectly, resultant from the snowfall as it did coincide with the morning commute. Snowfall amounts of 1-4 inches were reported across central and south central Kansas.
