SNOW SQUALL. An RWIS site on Interstate 99 near Port Matilda reported that road surface temperatures dropped below freezing and visibility dropped below one quarter mile with roads briefly becoming slushy due to heavy snowfall associated with a snow squall.
Wider weather episode
Scattered snow squalls accompanied a brief shot of arctic air following a cold frontal passage on March 10, 2024. Some of these squalls produced visibilities below a quarter of a mile and briefly made roads slick.
