Along Montgomery Highway at 3rd Ave S in Centreville, a tree limb fell due to strong gradient winds, striking a man in the head and resulting in a fatality.

Wider weather episode

Strong southeasterly gradient winds gusting to 35-45 mph across Central Alabama in advance of an approaching cold front resulted in sporadic tree damage and isolated structural damage. In Bibb County, one person was killed after being hit by a falling tree limb.
