Strong gradient winds resulted in trees falling across Highway 171 and Pikeville Road in Fayette County.

Wider weather episode

Strong southeasterly gradient winds gusting to 35-45 mph across Central Alabama in advance of an approaching cold front resulted in sporadic tree damage and isolated structural damage. In Bibb County, one person was killed after being hit by a falling tree limb.
