During the early morning of March 26, the steeple was blown off the roof of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, landing in the parking lot.

Wider weather episode

Strong southeasterly gradient winds gusting to 35-45 mph across Central Alabama in advance of an approaching cold front resulted in sporadic tree damage and isolated structural damage. In Bibb County, one person was killed after being hit by a falling tree limb.
