High winds developed the morning of the of the 11th and continued to the evening of the 12th.

Wider weather episode

A strong area of low pressure moving north through the Bering Sea combined with a strong area of high pressure over the Yukon Territory brought high winds to the West Coast of Alaska as well as passes in the Alaska Range.
