Event narrative

The emergency manager estimated a tenth of an inch of ice. There were numerous ice covered roads due to freezing rain including Highway 54.

Wider weather episode

There were periods of light freezing rain or freezing drizzle which resulted in ice accumulations up to a tenth of an inch in southeast Kansas. Slick roadways occurred and there were several vehicular accidents across south central and southeast Kansas.
