Heavy snow, mixed in at times with mixed precipitation, fell across the county. A CoCoRaHS observer at Dunlap recorded an event total 6 inches of snow. A public report from Cagle during the afternoon of the snowstorm recorded 6 inches with additional amounts of snowfall.

Wider weather episode

A major snowstorm powered by strong upper level dynamics and widespread preexisting low level cold produced heavy snowfall across East Tennessee.
