Snow expanded across the region through the afternoon of the 16th...then persisted into the early morning hours of the 17th. Snow fell at the rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour during the evening of the 16th. Warning criteria snow accumulations occurred during the late evening of the 16th. The heaviest snow fell across northeast Maine. Storm total snow accumulations across northern Maine generally ranged from 6 to 12 inches. Mixed precipitation resulted in lesser snow accumulations across Downeast areas. Snow accumulations across Downeast areas generally ranged from 4 to 7 inches.
