From Facebook pictures, roughly 0.5 inch of snowfall was observed in Erwin, with the COOP observer in Erwin measuring 0.2 inches of snow. Roads in Erwin and Unicoi, including Interstate 26, become snow covered as the event came to a close, hampering transportation interests significantly.
