Whiteout conditions were reported in Aberdeen, Fort Hall and at the Pocatello airport due to heavy snow and wind gusts of 35 to 50 mph. 0.25 miles visibility was recorded at the Pocatello airport with a 37 mph wind gust. The snow squalls occurred from 3 to 4 pm MST.

Wider weather episode

A cold front brought snow and strong winds with periods of significantly reduced visibility, heavy snow, and verified snow squalls. Some road closures also occurred due to the conditions.
