Light rain began during the morning of February 16, continuing into the early afternoon hours before moving out of the county by late afternoon. The ASOS located 2 miles north northwest of Vichy recorded a measured 0.07 inches of freezing rain.

Light rain and sprinkles fell during the morning and afternoon on February 16 as a frontal passage pushed from northwest to southeast through Missouri. Temperatures remained close to freezing near the ground, which led to freezing rain reports from the Greene County and Maries County ASOS. Further northeast towards east central Missouri, significant amounts of heavy snow reports were recorded.
