Blizzard conditions closed State Highway 31 from Swan Valley to Victor and US Highway 26 from Ririe to Swan Valley. 3 inches of snow fell in Swan Valley and the Wan Valley School District 92 closed due to road conditions and extensive blowing and drifting snow in 45 to 55 mph wind gusts and occasional blizzard conditions.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved through Idaho with snow, strong winds which caused blizzards in several zones and extensive travel problems. Many roads closed with wind gusts exceeding 50 mph in nearly all of southeast Idaho.
