Five inches of snow were reported at Davis. Also, county officials reported a widespread accumulation of a quarter inch of ice across the county.

Wider weather episode

A shortwave trough advanced across the Upper Ohio Valley on January 6th, as a surface low tracked across the Appalachians to the Mid-Atlantic region. Snow overspread the region during the morning and continued into the early evening hours, with higher totals noted in the enhanced terrain. A quarter-inch icing event was also noted in Tucker County.
