The Tucker county emergency manager noted blizzard conditions along Route 32 between 4am and 7am. At times visibility was about 100ft. Observations in the higher elevations of Tucker county showed winds gusting into the 40s up through mid evening.

Whiteout conditions were reported in the area by the emergency manager. Also, video footage on social media showed blizzard conditions on Route 48.

Several reports of 12 to 15 inches of snow were received, but the high total of 18.4 inches was reported at Canaan Heights.

After some expansion in Extreme Drought (D3) conditions during the first week of November, improvement to Severe Drought (D2) was realized by November 26th.

Extreme Drought (D3) conditions continued through the county during the month of October.

D2 conditions started at the beginning of July, expanding to D3 conditions by July 16th. Extreme drought continued until August 13, where some beneficial rain supported a return to D2 conditions. D3 conditions returned on September 17th and continue at this time.

Wind gusts of up to 71 MPH were reported at a mesonet sensor east of Canaan Heights. Downed trees were reported just to the northwest of the sensor as well.
