Seven inches of snow was measured in the ridges of eastern Tucker county the morning of April 5th.

A large scale low pressure system over the entire East Coast created winter weather impacts over the ridges of West Virginia April 4th to April 7th. Due to the prolong period of northwest flow, orographic lift with sufficient over the Appalachians. Over 6 inches snow fell in the higher terrain of Tucker County in a 24 hour period.
