Wider weather episode

A large low pressure tracked out of the Mississippi Valley and into the Great Lakes on January 9th. Strong south to southeast winds occurred ahead of this low pressure on January 9th, causing localized damaging winds mainly near the eastern Lake Erie shoreline. As a cold front moved through during the evening it also brought locally higher wind gusts to parts of the area. Winds lulled overnight but picked up in parts of extreme Northeast Ohio out of the west on January 10th.
