Severe thunderstorm winds tore part of a roof off of a home on Hurricane Loop near Moore Hollow Road in Tennessee Ridge. Damages are a rough estimate.

An isolated thunderstorm moved across far northwest Middle Tennessee during the late afternoon of April 8, 2024. With abundant instability, this thunderstorm became severe in west Tennessee before crossing the Tennessee River. Reports of large hail up to 1.5 inches were received along with damage due to strong winds across portions of Houston and Stewart counties.
