A Cocorahs observer 2.6 miles southwest of Wallowa measured 7.2 inches of storm total snow ending at 0715 PST on Jan 12th. A Cocorahs observer in Joseph measured 6.3 inches of storm total snow ending at 0745 PST on Jan. 13th, with snow estimated to have ended around 0800 PST on the 12th.

Wider weather episode

A series of winter systems starting with a strong arctic front followed by an upper level trough brought heavy snow accumulations and very cold temperatures across the mountains and many lower elevation locations across northeast Oregon and southeast Washington between Jan. 10th and the 14th.
