Snowfall was heaviest over the higher elevations of the northern Black Hills, where around a foot of heavy, wet snow accumulated. Across the central Black Hills, the lower elevations of the northern Black Hills, and portions of the northern and eastern foothills, accumulations of 2 to 8 inches were common. Patchy areas of accumulating snow, up to a few inches, were also noted across the adjacent plains during the early morning hours of the 7th.
