A public report from City of the Dalles via Facebook indicated 6 inches of storm total snow had fallen at 1944 PS on Jan. 13th. Another public report from City of the Dalles indicated 7 inches of new snow had fallen by 2300 PST on Jan. 13th.
Wider weather episode
A series of winter systems starting with a strong arctic front followed by an upper level trough brought heavy snow accumulations and very cold temperatures across the mountains and many lower elevation locations across northeast Oregon and southeast Washington between Jan. 10th and the 14th.
