A Cocorahs observer measured 4.5 inches of new snow at 0700 on Jan 12th. A public report 3 miles south southwest of College Place indicated that 4 inches of new snow fell between the 12th and the 13th of January.

Wider weather episode

A series of winter systems starting with a strong arctic front followed by an upper level trough brought heavy snow accumulations and very cold temperatures across the mountains and many lower elevation locations across northeast Oregon and southeast Washington between Jan. 10th and the 14th.
