Event narrative

A public report from 5 miles north of White Salmon indicated that 8 inches of storm total snow had fell at 2300 PST on Jan. 13th. A Cocorahs observer in White Salmon reported 8 inches of new snow at 0700 PST on Jan. 14th, with radar estimated time of snow ending between 2200-2300 on the 13th.

Wider weather episode

A series of winter systems starting with a strong arctic front followed by an upper level trough brought heavy snow accumulations and very cold temperatures across the mountains and many lower elevation locations across northeast Oregon and southeast Washington between Jan. 10th and the 14th.
