At 7:06 PM, Erie International Airport measured a 69 MPH wind gust. These wind gusts caused downed trees and power-lines across the county with over 3000 customers losing power.

Wider weather episode

Strong low pressure lifted out of the lower Mississippi Valley and into the Great Lakes January 12th and 13th. Strong southeasterly winds ahead of the low caused damage in northern Erie County during the evening of January 12th.
