Event narrative

Snow amounts of 6 to 12 inches of snow fell within a couple miles of Cloudcroft. Twelve inches was reported 1.8 miles southwest of Cloudcroft.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper low moved across the Four Corners region and across northern New Mexico. An associated cold front helped to bring upslope snow to the Cloudcroft area where up to a foot of snow was reported.
