Observer reported 8 inches of snow 7 miles northeast of Sandpoint.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front brought heavy snow and strong winds to portions of the Idaho Panhandle. Snow reports across the region ranged from 3 to 6 inches. The Northern portion of the Idaho Panhandle had reports of up to 8 inches. Winds were strongest in the Southern portion of the Idaho Panhandle with gusts around 42 MPH.
