A strong low-pressure system tracked north through the western Great Lakes, lifting a warm front and then a cold front into southeast Michigan. A solid south-north line of showers and thunderstorms developed Thursday afternoon, with a few enhanced thunderstorms along the line producing wind damage, particularly south of M-59.
