Two SNOTELs in the Boise Mountains, the ITD Avalanche Center and Atlanta Summit, measured 19.0 and 16.0 inches of snow respectively in a 48 hour period.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper level low brought impactful winter weather from orographic snow showers to the central Idaho mountains. This heavy snow caused major travel delays, especially on major thoroughfares through mountain towns.
