Snow squall. Conditions in the snow squall included flash freeze conditions on I-15 in southern Iron County, visibilities of 1/2 mile or less between approximately 11:40 a.m. and 2 p.m., and snowfall rates of 3 inches per hour.

Multiple crashes, one involving at least 11 vehicles, were reported, with the northbound lanes of I-15 closed for several hours. There were several other crashes throughout the Cedar City area.

Wider weather episode

A snow squall tracked over I-15 in southern Utah, causing several vehicle accidents.
