Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms moved across Central and North GA ahead of a cold front in the afternoon hours of the 28th. High winds aloft and marginal instability, due to diurnal heating ahead of the line, allowed for storms to bring damaging winds to the surface. Winds damage was the main reported hazard, although one hail report was noted in Troup county.
