A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated at 60 mph knocked down wires and collapsed a carport along Carlisle Pike south of Hampton.

Scattered showers and storms developed in the vicinity of a lingering frontal boundary near the Mason-Dixon line during the afternoon of April 15, 2024. One particularly strong storm produced up to ping pong ball sized hail and wind damage in Adams and York Counties.
